Stretch Your Brain and Body
It's time for another set of mind and body stretching creativity exercises! Use these activities the next time you need to be creative. These don't need to be relevant to your task at hand—in fact, they aren't. They are simple exercises to stretch your thinking and become more creative!
If you had only 10 words to use, what would they be?
Name small things that are big.
Get down on all fours (seriously). Arch your back, then relax. Do this several times. Cat nap not included.
What does "surprise" taste like?
Name things you don't think about.
Gently pull each finger and thumb. Then press your fingers against the palm of your opposite hand. Now you're ready to play more solitaire!
Nail, ring, car, golf ball, lane. Which thing doesn't belong?
Stand up and do the Twist. Shouting optional.
How are unite and untie similar?
Sitting or standing, place your hands on your hips and lean first to your right, then to your left. Note: This is not as effective on a boat.
